From Hurghada to Giza: Bus Day with Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum
This day trip by OceanAir Travel starts in Hurghada. The bus picks up guests between 1:30 and 2:30 AM and drives 473 kilometers to the Giza Plateau; the one-way trip takes six hours. The destination is the three pyramids, the Great Sphinx, and the Grand Egyptian Museum, two kilometers away. Since mid-November 2025, the museum has assigned fixed entry time slots, so the visit cannot be stretched arbitrarily into the day. Due to the long drive, this is a full day with a very early start, not a half-day excursion.

What the price from €58 includes
The entry price is from €58. This places this tour at rank 2 in price among the 36 pyramid excursions from Hurghada. Included in the price are the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, hotel pickup, and the guided tour. The site ticket is officially priced at 700 Egyptian pounds; at an exchange rate of 59.14 EGP per euro, that is about €11, which the provider covers. The interiors of the pyramids are not covered by this ticket. The interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu is offered as an add-on; officially it costs 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about €16. This is a minority position: only ten other offers in this group of 35 also list the interior as an add-on. For the interior of the Pyramid of Menkaure, the official price list shows 280 EGP, in addition to the site ticket. The provider does not mention any other mandatory items. Heat over the year and the hours on the plateau
The chart shows the usual maximum and minimum values for Hurghada. From December to February, it remains coolest with 22 to 24 degrees during the day and 12 to 13 degrees at night. From May it gets hot: until September, daytime highs range between 34 and 38 degrees, and nights only cool down to 23 to 28 degrees. In June, July, and August, 36 to 38 degrees are the norm. October brings 32 degrees, November 28 degrees. There is hardly any shade on the plateau. Because the bus leaves very early, the hours on the open site fall in the middle of the day; if you have the choice, take the months December to February for this excursion. The values are not a forecast.
