From Hurghada to the Giza Plateau: Entry via the Outer Areas
You don't start in Cairo but in Hurghada. You'll be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Giza Plateau. The provider gives the duration as a range of 1 to 22 days; a fixed schedule cannot be inferred from that. Hot months, early pickup, shade-less plateau
The temperatures in this section are normal values for Hurghada, not a forecast. December to February are the coolest: highs of 22 to 24 degrees, lows of 12 to 13 degrees. From May to October, highs are above 30 degrees, with the hottest period from June to September at 35 to 38 degrees during the day and 26 to 28 degrees at night. Pickup in Hurghada is between 1:30 and 2:30 AM. The drive there takes six hours and goes through the night and early morning; the time on the plateau then falls into the warmer hours of the day. The site offers little shade.
