What the price covers and what is added at the plateau
The price starts at €72. Included are hotel pickup, lunch, and the site ticket for the Giza Plateau. The site ticket officially costs 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11; the provider covers this amount for you, and no further fee is due at the ticket office for entry. The accompaniment is a live guide; Arabic, English, German, and Italian are listed, and a German-speaking guide is indicated. The provider says nothing about the interior of a pyramid. At the Gate: Opening Hours, Card Payment, and Shuttle
The official website lists the plateau as open from 8 am to 4 pm; an older official source says 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the site. Payment at the ticket office is card only; cash is not accepted. Still, carry some cash for tips and small expenses. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since 2025. If you don't walk, use the electric shuttle; it's included in the entrance fee. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum. The Sphinx Gate is also open but has no ticket office.
