From Hurghada to the Pyramids: A Day with a Domestic Flight
This tour starts in Hurghada, a city with around 214,247 inhabitants on the Red Sea, and lasts 16 to 17 hours. Instead of the 473 road kilometers to the Giza Plateau, which the bus takes about six hours to cover, you fly: the flight time to Cairo is 60 minutes. The short flight time does not make the day short: pickup, airport transfers, the program around Giza, and the return flight in the evening fill the remaining hours. What is included in the price of 239 euros and what is officially added
The entry price is from 239 euros. According to the provider, included are the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, and hotel pickup. The official value of the included site ticket is 700 Egyptian pounds, converted to about 11 euros at the exchange rate of September 3, 2026, of 59.14 pounds per euro; the provider covers this amount within the price of 239 euros. Actually extra to pay is only the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu: it is explicitly not part of the offer and costs officially 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about 16 euros, payable on site by card.
The provider says nothing about flight taxes or other fees related to the domestic flight. Tipping is customary in Egypt and should be part of your daily budget.

At the Gate: Opening Hours, Tickets, and No Private Vehicles
According to the official website, the Giza Plateau is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; an older official PDF from 2020, however, states 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM – the information is contradictory. In both cases, the ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes, which can be a problem if you arrive late in the afternoon. Payment is by card only; the ticket office does not accept cash.
Since the 2025 reorganization, private vehicles are no longer allowed onto the plateau. For a group tour like this, that changes little in practice, as you'll be riding the electric shuttle included in the site ticket to the stops at the three pyramids and the Sphinx.
Who the Flight Is Worth It For, and Who It Isn't
If you want to avoid the long bus ride between Hurghada and Giza and are willing to pay more, this tour offers an option with a broad review base and German-speaking guide.
