By Plane from Hurghada to the Giza Plateau
You start in Hurghada and fly to Cairo. The flight time is given as 60 minutes; the road from Hurghada to the Giza Plateau is 473 kilometers long, and the one-way drive takes six hours. What applies at the gate and ticket office
Opening hours are not clear-cut: one official source says 8 am to 4 pm, another says 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate. Payment at the counter is card only; cash is still needed for tips and small purchases. Since 2025, the entrance with ticket office is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office. Private vehicles are not allowed onto the plateau; an electric shuttle is included in the admission price.
Who this flight day is suitable for and who it isn't
This tour is suitable if you want to fly from Hurghada and see the three pyramids and the Sphinx in one day. It is not suitable if you also want to include a museum in Cairo; in that case, choose the offer “Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids and Museum for First-Timers” from 80 euros. Also, if you are looking for a private booking or a small group, this is not for you: Nice Tours offers neither. The provider says nothing about wheelchair accessibility; clarify this before booking.
