From the Red Sea to the Pyramids: A Day by Flight
This day trip starts in Hurghada and takes you to Cairo by plane. On the Giza Plateau, you'll see the three pyramids, the Sphinx, and the viewpoints in between. What the price covers and what extra costs arise at the plateau
The entry price starts at €179. This includes hotel pickup, lunch, the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, and the accompaniment of a live guide. The provider lists German, English, French, Italian, and Spanish as guide languages; German is indicated. For the site ticket, they cover the official amount of 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11. This amount is therefore not additionally charged at the day ticket office. Whether a pyramid interior is part of the program is not stated. Officially set are the Khufu interior at 1,000 EGP (about €16) and the Menkaure interior at 280 EGP. Tipping is customary in Egypt, but not a surcharge for special service.

Mild winters, hot summer days: reading the temperature curve
The chart above this section shows the monthly maximum and minimum values for Hurghada. December to February are most pleasant with 22 to 24 degrees during the day and 12 to 13 degrees at night. April to October brings daytime temperatures of 30 to 38 degrees, and from June to August it only cools down to 26 to 28 degrees at night. On the Giza Plateau there is hardly any shade. At the Great Gate: tickets, shuttle, no private cars
The main entrance has been called the Great Gate since the 2025 reorganization and is located on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Officially, the plateau is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; an older official source says 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Payment at the ticket office is by card only, not cash. Private vehicles are no longer allowed onto the plateau; visitors take the electric shuttle, which is included in the admission price and stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the panoramic viewpoint, and the Sphinx.
