What is included in the entry price and what the provider leaves open

At the Gate: Card Payment, Time Conflict, and Mandatory Shuttle
Since 2025, private vehicles are banned on the plateau. An electric shuttle takes you onto the site, included in the area ticket; designated stops are Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. Payment at the ticket office is card-only; cash is not accepted there. The office closes one hour before the gate closes. Opening hours are not clear: one official source says 8 am to 4 pm, another from 2020 says 7 am to 5 pm. Since 2025, the main entrance is at the Great Gate on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum; the Sphinx Gate remains open but has no ticket office. Cash is still needed for tips and small purchases.
