You start in Hurghada. Ahead of you lies a 473-kilometer bus ride to the Giza Plateau; the journey takes six hours each way. The starting price is €66. Explicitly included are the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, and hotel pickup; the provider also lists the tour as "skip the line." At the Giza Plateau: opening hours, ticket office closing time, and card payment
The plateau is currently open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; an older source says 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Payment at the ticket office is by card only, not cash; still, carry some cash for tips and small expenses. Since 2025, private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau. Instead, an electric shuttle runs, stopping at the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. The main entrance has been the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road since 2025; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office.
Who the long bus day is for and who it isn't
This tour is right for you if you're traveling on a limited budget and don't mind the long bus ride. It's not suitable for wheelchair users; the provider marks it as not wheelchair accessible.
