Hot months, early pickup, little shade

At the Great Gate: Map, Shuttle, and Ticket Office Closing Time
Since 2025, the main entrance to the Giza Plateau is through the Great Gate; the old gate at the Mena House has been replaced. Private vehicles are no longer allowed on the site; they remain at the Great Gate. An electric shuttle is included in the site ticket. It stops at the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. Payment at the ticket office is by card only, not cash. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes. The official website lists the plateau's hours as 8 am to 4 pm; an older official source says 7 am to 5 pm. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office.
