What the entry price includes and what is added at the plateau
The entry price starts at €77. Included are hotel pickup, the live guide, and the site ticket for the Giza Plateau. The site ticket officially costs 700 Egyptian pounds, around €11; the provider covers this amount for you. The ticket does not cover the interiors. At the Great Gate: Map, ticket office closing time, and no private vehicles
The main entrance has been called the Great Gate since 2025 and is located on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road; the former access at the Mena House has been replaced. The official website lists opening hours from 8 am to 4 pm; an official PDF specification deviates from this and states 7 am to 5 pm. Ticket sales end one hour before the site closes. The counter accepts only cards, no cash; cash is still needed for small items. Private vehicles are not allowed onto the plateau; visitors walk or take the electric shuttle. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter.
