The price from €62 includes hotel pickup and the site ticket for the Giza Plateau: its official amount of 700 Egyptian pounds, converted to around €11 at the rate of 59.14 pounds per euro, as of September 3, 2026, is covered by the provider for you.
In fact, you only pay extra if you want to go inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu: officially 1,000 Egyptian pounds, converted to around €16, to be purchased on site. Both the Giza Plateau and Saqqara officially open from 08:00 to 16:00. An eight-hour day with three stops – Plateau, Saqqara and Memphis – plus hotel pickup and return to Cairo, must fit into this common window.
Anyone booking this tour should therefore expect an early pickup time. A late start in the morning leaves little room for three places in eight hours, even if none of the programme items takes much time on its own.

What applies at the gate when the bus has to stay outside
At the Giza gate, three things apply to this tour. The ticket office closes one hour before the site itself, which matters on a tightly packed eight-hour day with two more stops. Payment there is by card only, no cash, which is important for surcharges like the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu.
And since the 2025 reorganization, the OceanAir Travel bus is no longer allowed to drive up onto the plateau. Between the pyramids and the Sphinx, the electric shuttle included in the entrance fee takes over, stopping at, among others, the Great Pyramid of Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the panorama point, and the Sphinx.
Who this three-in-one day suits, and who should book the half-day tour instead
This tour suits travelers who want to see Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis in one day, in a small group with a German-speaking guide, without having to organize it themselves. It cannot be booked privately: if you want to go alone with your own guide, you'll find that more with the private tour with camel ride from €51.
If, on the other hand, you only want to see the Giza Plateau and be back at your hotel in five to six hours, the half-day tour to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx from €35 is a better fit. According to the provider, this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users.
