Six Hours from Cairo to the Pyramids and Saqqara

Opening Hours, Card Payment, and Shuttle on the Plateau
For Giza, the official website states 8 am to 4 pm, while an older official PDF says 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. At the ticket office, only card payments are accepted; cash is not taken. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since the 2025 reorganization. You can use the electric shuttle, which is included in the entrance fee and operates on a hop-on/hop-off basis. Saqqara is open daily from 8 am to 4 pm. The main entrance to Giza is the Great Gate on the desert road; the Sphinx Gate has no ticket office.
