Seven Hours from Cairo to Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis
This seven-hour excursion starts in Cairo and connects the Giza Plateau, Saqqara, and Memphis. What the entry price covers and which official tickets are extra
The entry price from €36 includes lunch and hotel pickup. Compared to the 126 offers in the category, this is the tenth cheapest entry price. The provider says nothing about the site ticket for the Giza Plateau; officially it costs 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11. The interior of a pyramid is also not specified; if you want to enter the Great Pyramid of Khufu, you pay 1,000 Egyptian pounds (about €16) on site. For the Pyramid of Menkaure, the official price list states 280 EGP, but the site ticket is still required. Tipping is customary in Egypt, but it is not a surcharge for special service.

At the Giza Plateau, the ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. The official website lists opening hours from 8 am to 4 pm; an older official source differs with 7 am to 5 pm. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum. Payment at the ticket office is card only. Since 2025, private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau; an electric shuttle is included in the site ticket and operates on a hop-on-hop-off basis.
