What is included in the price and which items are added on the day
The entry price is €166. Included are lunch and hotel pickup. Also included is the accompaniment of a live guide who covers the mentioned languages. Not included is the interior of a pyramid: the provider explicitly excludes this visit. It says nothing about the site ticket for the Giza Plateau. That is not the same as "included" – it only means you must expect to pay yourself. The official price for that is 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11 (exchange rate: 59.14 EGP per euro). In addition, the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu costs an official 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about €16, which can be purchased on site. There is also an official interior visit for the Pyramid of Menkaure for 280 EGP, which additionally requires the site ticket. Tipping is customary in Egypt, but not a surcharge for special service.

Pleasant from November to March, hot from May to September
The chart of Cairo's monthly temperatures shows: from May to August, highs climb to 35 degrees, and in September they remain at 33 degrees. Lows then range between 22 and 24 degrees, offering little relief. November to March are considerably more bearable, with highs between 19 and 25 degrees and night temperatures around 10 to 16 degrees. On the Giza Plateau there is hardly any shade – this applies to every season. Since the tour lasts eight hours and takes place mostly outdoors, the time of day is crucial: the hottest hours are in the early afternoon. If you travel in summer, you should expect that the morning hours are the most tolerable.

If you want to enter the Giza Plateau, you should know: the ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Payment is by card only; cash is not accepted – this has been the case since the switch to cashless sales. Private vehicles have not been allowed up to the plateau since 2025; visitors are transported by an electric shuttle, which is included in the site ticket. The official opening hours for Giza are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Saqqara also has the same hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Since 2025, the main entrance to Giza is the Great Gate on the Cairo–Fayoum desert road.
