What the entry price covers and what the interiors cost
The entry price starts at €107. Included are hotel pickup in Luxor, lunch, the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, and the accompaniment of a live guide. The site ticket is officially valued at 700 Egyptian pounds (around €11); this amount is covered by the provider. It applies to the grounds and the electric shuttle, but not to the interiors of the pyramids. At the Giza Plateau: pay by card, ride the shuttle
Since 2025, private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau. Visitors are transported by electric shuttle; the stops are the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the panoramic viewpoint, and the Sphinx. Ticket purchases at the counter are cashless; only cards are accepted. The ticket counter closes one hour before closing time. Opening hours are given as 8 am to 4 pm, with an older listing of 7 am to 5 pm. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter.
