A Day on the Giza Plateau and in the Egyptian Museum

At the Giza Plateau, the official website states 08:00 to 16:00; another official source says 07:00 to 17:00. The ticket office closes one hour before the respective site closing time. Payment is by card only, not cash. Private vehicles are no longer allowed onto the plateau as of 2025; the main entrance is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road. An electric shuttle takes you from there; it is included in the site ticket and stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. The Egyptian Museum is open 09:00 to 17:00, with the ticket office closing at 16:00.
