Three Days from Cairo: Plateau, Sphinx and Grand Museum
The three-day tour starts in Cairo. It leads to the Giza Plateau, where the three pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure stand, along with the Sphinx carved from the bedrock and the viewpoints in between. Two kilometres away lies the Grand Egyptian Museum, which since mid-November 2025 is only accessible with a pre-booked time slot. The organiser is Emo Tours Swiss GmbH. A live guide accompanies you; tour languages are German, English, Spanish, Italian and Arabic. The tour is spread over three days, so you don't have to fit the site and the museum into one day. Price, included services and what remains open
The price starts at 199 euros. This places it at rank 85 of 126 offers in the category and in its upper third; the price range spans from 14 to 4,262 euros. Included are hotel pickup and the site ticket for the Giza Plateau. Its official amount of 700 Egyptian pounds, around €11, is covered by the price; this part is taken over by the provider. Lunch is not included. This is a minority position: only 16 other offers in the category also do without it. Whether entry to the Grand Egyptian Museum is included is left open by the provider. He says nothing about the interior of a pyramid; the site ticket does not cover the interiors. Cairo monthly values: daytime heat and nighttime cooling

At the Great Gate: opening hours, card payment, and shuttle
Since 2025, the main entrance to the plateau is the Great Gate on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter. Ticket sales close one hour before the gate closes; at the ticket counter, only card payments are accepted. The current official opening hours are 08:00 to 16:00, while an older official notice stated 07:00 to 17:00. Private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau as of 2025. From the gate, electric shuttles run to the stops: Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, Panorama Point, and the Sphinx.
