Eight hours from Cairo: Pyramids and the old museum at Tahrir
The day tour by Sun Pyramids Tours is planned for eight hours and starts in Cairo with hotel pickup. It leads to the Giza Plateau and the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir. On the plateau, you see the three pyramids up close: the Pyramid of Khafre, whose upper part is still clad, the Pyramid of Menkaure with granite from Aswan on the lower courses, and the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest of the three. The Sphinx is carved from the bedrock; you stand on the terrace above, not next to its paws. What the entry price includes and which items remain open
The entry price starts at 40 euros. With this value, the tour ranks 19th in its category, in the cheapest 15 percent. Free cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before. According to the provider, the price includes the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, hotel pickup, and the tour guide. Ticket office closing, card payment, and the electric shuttle
At the Giza Plateau, the ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. The official opening hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; ticket purchases at the counter are cashless, only card payments are accepted. Since 2025, private vehicles are banned on the plateau; visitors take the electric shuttle or walk. The shuttle is included in the entrance fee and stops at the three pyramids, a panoramic viewpoint, and the Sphinx. The Egyptian Museum at Tahrir opens daily at 9:00 AM and closes at 5:00 PM; its ticket office closes at 4:00 PM, one hour before closing.

This tour is the right choice if you want to experience the pyramids from the outside, see the Sphinx from the terrace, and then visit the old Egyptian Museum at Tahrir without organizing the day yourself.
