Five hours on the Giza Plateau, with quad and camel
The tour starts in Cairo and leads to the Giza Plateau. It lasts five hours and can be booked privately. On the program are a quad safari, a camel ride, and a walk around the site; a live guide accompanies you. The tour is available in German on request. You will see the three pyramids – Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos – the Great Sphinx, and the viewpoints in between. At the Sphinx, you stand on the terrace above it, not next to its paws. Cheops is the largest of the three, Chephren still has its casing at the top, and Mykerinos has granite from Aswan at its base. The provider does not announce any further stops outside the plateau. How much time is spent on the quad route, the camel ride, and the sightseeing is left open.

What the entry price includes and what it does not
The entry price starts at €86. Included in the price are hotel pickup, the quad safari, and the camel ride. The site ticket for the Giza Plateau is explicitly included; officially it costs 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11. The provider covers this amount; it does not appear as an additional item. At the ticket office of the Giza Plateau, only card payments are accepted, not cash; sales have been cashless since 2023. Ticket sales close one hour before the respective site closing time. Opening hours are stated as 8 am to 4 pm; an older listing says 7 am to 5 pm. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since 2025. You travel by electric shuttle, which is included in the site ticket, or you walk. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the desert road to Fayoum; the Sphinx Gate has no ticket office.
