Ticket Office at the Great Gate: Opening Hours, Card Payment, Shuttle
The ticket office is located at the Great Gate, the main entrance on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum. The Great Gate has replaced the former gate at the Mena House. For the site, the official website states 08:00 to 16:00; an official PDF from 2020 states 07:00 to 17:00, deviating from that. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes. Payment is only by card. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since 2025. The electric shuttle is included in the entrance fee; it stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, at the Panorama Point, and at the Sphinx. The Sphinx Gate remains open but has no ticket office.
