Five hours from Cairo: Plateau, Sphinx, and Felucca

At the Gate: Opening Hours, Card Payment, and Shuttle
The plateau's opening hours are given differently: 8 am to 4 pm or 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes. Payment at the counter is by card only; cash is not accepted. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since 2025. If you don't walk, take the electric shuttle; its ride is part of the area ticket. Since 2025, the main entrance is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter.
