A Day from the Giza Plateau to the Egyptian Museum
You start in Cairo and drive to the Giza Plateau. Ramses tours estimates six to seven hours for the tour. On the plateau, you will see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. The Pyramid of Khafre is the middle of the three and still has its casing at the top; the Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest and shows granite from Aswan in its lower courses. The Sphinx is carved from the natural rock; it is viewed from the terrace above, not from its paws. Then you head to the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square. There, the statues of the three pyramid builders are still on display; the treasures of Tutankhamun have moved out. The day combines the pyramid field with the old museum.

Entry price, included services, and official entrance fees
The entry price starts at €51. According to the description, hotel pickup, a live guide, skip-the-line access, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before are included. For foreign adults, the official area ticket costs 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11; whether the provider includes it in the entry price is left open. The area ticket covers the grounds, not the interiors. The Khufu interior costs officially 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about €16, and the Menkaure interior 280 Egyptian pounds. The provider also says nothing about interior tickets or lunch. For the Egyptian Museum, the official price list for foreign adults is 550 Egyptian pounds; the audio guide costs 75 Egyptian pounds. On the Giza Plateau, the official website lists 8 am to 4 pm as opening hours; an official version from 2020 lists 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the respective site closing time. Payment at the counter is by card only. Private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau as of 2025; if you don't walk, you use the electric shuttle, which is included in the area ticket. The main entrance has been the Great Gate on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum since 2025; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter. The Egyptian Museum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm; the ticket office there closes at 4 pm.
