What the entry price covers and what the pyramid interiors cost
The entry price starts at €201. Included are the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, and a guided tour. The tour is offered in Arabic, English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian; German is explicitly specified. The site ticket officially costs 700 EGP, about €11; this amount is covered by the provider, so you won't have to pay at the gate. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before. The plateau is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; an older source says 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Payment at the counter is card only; you'll need cash on site for tips and small purchases. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office. Private vehicles are no longer allowed onto the plateau since the 2025 reorganization. An electric shuttle, included in the entrance fee, serves Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx.
