What the entry price includes and what remains open

At the Great Gate: opening hours, card payment, shuttle
The Giza Plateau officially opens from 8 am to 4 pm; an older official time is 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes. Payment at the counter is by card only, not cash; however, cash is still useful for small purchases. Since 2025, private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum; the Sphinx Gate remains open but has no ticket office. The electric shuttle stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx.
