What the price includes and what would be extra at the gate
The entry price is 361 euros. This includes hotel pickup in Cairo, lunch, a live guide, and the site ticket for the Giza Plateau. The site ticket officially costs 700 Egyptian pounds, around 11 euros; the provider covers this amount, so you do not pay it extra at the gate. The provider offers free cancellation with 24 hours' notice. Explicitly not included is the interior of a pyramid; only 35 other offers in this group say the same. At the Gate: Card Payment, Shuttle, and Two Opening Times
The plateau is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the ticket counter closing one hour before the site closes. An older official source from 2020 states 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the information is contradictory. At the counter, only card payments are accepted, not cash. Private vehicles have not been allowed onto the plateau since 2025; if you don't walk, you use the electric shuttle. It is included in the site ticket and stops at the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. The main entrance is called the Great Gate and is located on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter. Cash is still needed on the plateau for tips and small purchases.
