What is in the price and what is extra
The entry price starts at 294 euros. Included are the site ticket for the Giza Plateau and lunch. The site ticket officially costs 700 Egyptian pounds, about 11 euros; the provider covers this amount. Hotel pickup is only offered as an add-on; no price is given for it. This makes the tour a minority in its offer group: only six other offers also treat pickup as an add-on. Whether entry to Memphis is included is left open by the provider. Explicitly not included is the interior of a pyramid; this is also rare in the group, only 35 other offers exclude it. If you want to go into the Great Pyramid of Khufu, you need a separate interior ticket for 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about 16 euros; for the Pyramid of Menkaure, 280 Egyptian pounds are due in addition to the site ticket. The cooler months for the outdoor day

Card payment and ticket office closing at the Great Gate
You reach the Giza Plateau via the Great Gate on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office. Opening hours are given as 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM; an older listing says 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Payment is by card only, not cash; cash is still needed for tips and small purchases. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since 2025. An electric shuttle connects the stops: Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. The site ticket also covers the shuttle.
Who should book the two-day tour and who shouldn't
This tour is well suited for travelers who plan two days for the major sights and want to see Giza together with Memphis in one program. The provider lists it as wheelchair accessible. It is explicitly not suitable for anyone who only has one day for the pyramids or expects a private format; private and small-group bookings are not available. If you're looking for a day trip, the “Cairo: Private Tour to Pyramids and Great Sphinx with Camel Ride” is an alternative: 4 to 8 hours from €51. However, this offer does not list a German-speaking guide.
