Two Days from Cairo to the Giza Plateau

What the price covers and what is added at the plateau
The entry price starts at €238. This makes the tour one of the most expensive 30 percent of pyramid tours from Cairo; by price, it ranks 88th out of 126 offers. Included are hotel pickup, lunch, a live guide, and the site ticket for the Giza Plateau. A German-speaking guide is specified. The site ticket is officially priced at 700 Egyptian pounds, around €11; this amount is covered by the provider. Not included is the interior of a pyramid. When the two days on the plateau should be
The diagram shows the range between daily maximum and minimum for Cairo. From June to August, 35 degrees are reached, nights cool down to 22 to 24 degrees. May and September are only slightly lower at 32 and 33 degrees. From November to February, maximums stay at 19 to 25 degrees. There is hardly any shade on the Giza Plateau. The figures are normal outdoor values, not a forecast. Because this tour spans two days, the hours near the minimum in the hot months are the more bearable ones for being outdoors.

What applies at the entrance before the site begins
The main entrance has been the Great Gate on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum to the southwest since 2025. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter. The counter closes one hour before the site closes. The official website lists opening hours as 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, while an older document lists 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; the sources are not consistent. Payment at the counter is by card only, not cash. Private vehicles have not been allowed onto the plateau since 2025; the site ticket includes the electric shuttle that stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx.
Who this tour suits and who should opt for the one-day alternative
This tour is right if you can set aside two days and don't insist on a private guide. It is explicitly not right if you expect a small group or a closed private offer; neither is provided. If you only have one day for pyramids and a museum, you'd be better off with the tour “Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids, Sphinx Tour and Lunch”.
