What the entry price covers and what remains open

At the Great Gate, the main entrance since 2025, you can only pay by card at the counter; on the plateau you only need cash for tips and small purchases. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. The official opening hours of the plateau are given differently: 8 am to 4 pm is mentioned, and an older version says 7 am to 5 pm. Private vehicles have not been allowed since 2025; the site ticket includes the electric shuttle, which stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx. The Egyptian Museum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm; its ticket office closes at 4 pm.
