Entry Price, Site Ticket, and the Rare Extras
The entry price starts at €14, making it the lowest in its category. Included is the site ticket for the Giza Plateau; the official price is 700 Egyptian pounds, around €11. Opening Hours, Card Payment, and Access Since 2025
The plateau is officially open from 8 am to 4 pm; an older official source says 7 am to 5 pm. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Payment at the ticket office is by card only; cash is useful mainly for tips and small purchases on the plateau. Since 2025, the main entrance is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road; the Sphinx Gate remains open but has no ticket office. Private vehicles are no longer allowed on the plateau; the electric shuttle runs to Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point, and the Sphinx.
