At the Gate: Ticket Office Closing, Card Payment, Electric Shuttle
Ticket sales end one hour before the site closes, and payment is by card only. The official website lists opening hours as 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, while an older official document lists 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Since 2025, the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road has been the main entrance; private vehicles are no longer allowed onto the plateau. The Sphinx Gate is also open but has no ticket office. An electric shuttle operates within the site.
