If you want to visit the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, you book it as an add-on with the provider; officially, this interior costs 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about €16. For the plateau, opening hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; an older official figure differs with 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ticket counter closes one hour before the site closes. Payment at the counter is by card only; cash is not accepted for tickets, but is needed for tips. Since the reorganization in 2025, private vehicles remain outside the plateau; visitors reach the stops with the electric shuttle, which is included in the entrance fee. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter of its own.
