What the entry price covers and what is added for the pyramid interior
The entry price from €58 includes hotel pickup in Sharm El Sheikh, the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, and the accompaniment of a guide. The site ticket is officially priced at 700 Egyptian pounds (around €11). The provider covers this amount; it is not charged again on the plateau. The provider says nothing about the interiors of the pyramids. They are officially priced separately: the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu costs 1,000 Egyptian pounds (around €16) on site, the interior of the Pyramid of Menkaure costs 280 Egyptian pounds. The site ticket does not cover these interiors. Tipping is customary in Egypt, but it is not a surcharge for special service.

At the Gate: Card Payment, Electric Shuttle, Opening Hours
Since 2025, private vehicles are banned on the plateau; visitors take the electric shuttle or walk. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum; the old gate at Mena House has been replaced. The ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. Payment at the counter is by card only, not cash. The official website lists opening hours as 08:00 to 16:00; an official PDF source from 2020 lists 07:00 to 17:00. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket counter. Cash is still needed for tips and small expenses.
Who the Group's Cheapest Bus Option Suits
