At the Gate: Opening Hours, Card Payment and Shuttle
The opening hours for the Giza Plateau are given as 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. An older official source differs, stating 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes. Payment at the counter is by card only, not cash; however, you should still carry some cash for tips and small expenses. This tour does not offer skip-the-line access. Private vehicles have not been allowed on the plateau since 2025. Visitors take the electric shuttle; it is included in the site ticket and stops at Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, as well as at the Panorama Point and the Sphinx.
