At the Great Gate, the main entrance on the desert road, the ticket office closes one hour before the site closes. The official website lists opening hours from 08:00 to 16:00; an older official source lists 07:00 to 17:00. The ticket office accepts only cards, no cash. Private vehicles have not been allowed onto the plateau since 2025; the electric shuttle is included in the site ticket and stops at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point and the Sphinx. The Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office.
