What the entry price includes and what is added on the day
OceanAir lists €78 as the entry price. Included for you are hotel pickup, the accompaniment of a tour guide, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before. The site ticket for the Giza Plateau is explicitly not included; its official price of 700 Egyptian pounds, about €11, is paid on the day. OceanAir offers lunch only as an add-on. The provider says nothing about the interior of a pyramid; the official price list shows 1,000 Egyptian pounds, about €16, for the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. The euro amounts mentioned are converted at the rate of 59.14 EGP per euro. Tipping is customary in Egypt, but not a surcharge for special service.

At the Great Gate: card payment, ticket office closing time, electric shuttle
Access to the plateau has been through the Great Gate on the desert road from Cairo to Fayoum since 2025. It replaced the former gate at the Mena House. At the ticket counter, only card payment is accepted; cash is not possible. The ticket office closes one hour before the end of opening hours; the official website states 8 am to 4 pm, an older official source states 7 am to 5 pm.
