Ten Hours from Port Said: Plateau and Grand Egyptian Museum
You start in Port Said, not Cairo. Sun Pyramids Tours takes you to the Giza Plateau; the road connection from Port Said is 211 kilometers. The program there includes the three pyramids, the Sphinx, and the viewpoints in between. Then it continues to the Grand Egyptian Museum, two kilometers away. What is included in the price and what remains unmentioned
The price starts at €197. Included in the price are the site ticket for the Giza Plateau, lunch, hotel pickup in Port Said, and a guided tour by a live guide. Languages indicated include German and English, among others. The site ticket officially costs 700 Egyptian pounds, around €11; this amount is covered by the provider. It does not cover the interiors. Whether a pyramid interior is part of the tour price is left open by the provider. Officially, the Khufu interior is 1,000 Egyptian pounds, around €16, and the Menkaure pyramid interior is 280 Egyptian pounds. Booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before.

The diagram above this section shows the monthly values for Port Said. The hottest months are June to September: highs then range between 29 and 31 degrees, lows between 23 and 25 degrees. From December to February, highs remain at 18 to 20 degrees; in spring they are between 21 and 26 degrees, and in October and November between 24 and 28 degrees. The tour starts in the morning, and because the drive to the plateau takes a good two and a half hours, the midday hours fall on the site. There is hardly any shade there. The values are normal outdoor values, not a weather forecast.

At the Gate: Card Payment, Shuttle, Different Times
At the Great Gate, the main entrance on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum, the ticket office closes one hour before the official closing time of the site. Payment is by card only; you may need cash for tips and small expenses. Private vehicles are no longer allowed since the 2025 reorganization; on the plateau you ride the electric shuttle or walk. The Sphinx Gate is also accessible but has no ticket office. Official opening times contradict each other: one says 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, an older one says 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
