What the entry price covers and what the provider leaves open

The Sphinx Gate remains open but has no ticket office. The ticket office closes one hour before the gate closes. The official website lists opening hours as 08:00 to 16:00, an official PDF from 2020 lists 07:00 to 17:00; the sources contradict each other. Payment at the counter is by card only, not cash. Private vehicles are not allowed onto the plateau; electric shuttles cover the routes, stopping at Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, the Panorama Point and the Sphinx.
