What the entry price includes and what remains open

The provider does not say whether the area ticket for the Giza Plateau is part of this price; it also remains silent about the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu. Access to the Plateau: Great Gate, card payment, and shuttle
At the Giza Plateau, the main entrance since 2025 is the Great Gate on the desert road between Cairo and Fayoum; the former gate at the Mena House has been replaced. The Sphinx Gate remains open but has no ticket office. The official website lists opening hours as 8 AM to 4 PM, while another official source from 2020 lists 7 AM to 5 PM; the information is contradictory. Ticket sales close one hour before closing. You can pay by card at the ticket office, but not in cash. Private vehicles no longer drive onto the plateau; included in the entrance fee is an electric shuttle with stops at the pyramids, the panorama point, and the Sphinx.
