The site ticket officially costs 700 Egyptian pounds, around €11; the provider covers this amount, you do not have to pay it. For the interior of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, there is an official price of 1,000 Egyptian pounds, around €16. Whether this interior visit is part of the program, Nice Tours does not say. At the gate, the ticket counts; on the plateau, the shuttle
The Giza Plateau is open from 8 am to 4 pm according to one source, and from 7 am to 5 pm according to another. What is certain: the ticket office closes one hour before the end of opening hours. Payment at the counter is card only; since 2023, no cash has been accepted there. Private vehicles have not been allowed onto the plateau since 2025. Visitors continue by electric shuttle or on foot; the shuttle stops at the three pyramids, the panoramic point, and the Sphinx. Since the reorganisation, the main entrance is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road.
Who should plan for the long car day and who should not
This tour is right for travellers who want to drive from Sharm El Sheikh to the Giza Plateau in a private car and accept the six-hour drive each way as part of the day. It is expressly not right if you want to keep the journey as short as possible: in that case, you are better off with the Full-Day Cairo Pyramids Tour by plane, which is significantly shorter at 11 hours. If you are primarily watching the price, you will find a cheaper alternative in the One-Day Trip to Cairo, Pyramids, Sphinx and Giza Museum by bus. Nice Tours says nothing about wheelchair accessibility.
