Since the 2025 reorganization, clear rules apply at the Giza Plateau: private vehicles remain outside the site; visitors are transported by electric shuttle, the use of which is included in the site ticket. The ticket office accepts only cards, no cash. It closes one hour before the site closes. The official website lists opening hours as 8 am to 4 pm; an older source lists 7 am to 5 pm. The main entrance is the Great Gate on the Cairo-Fayoum desert road; the Sphinx Gate is open but has no ticket office.
Who the four-day tour suits and who it doesn't
This package suits you if you have four days to spare and want to combine Cairo with Alexandria. You travel in a small group; how small the group is, the provider does not say.
